Western Rail Access to Heathrow (WRAtH) All Updates Will be posted here
The consortium behind the Western Rail Access to Heathrow (WRAtH) project has begun an “informal consultation” into its plans for 5km of new tunnels to connect Heathrow Terminal 5 with Langley Station. Under the plans two tunnels would be constructed through Richings Park, Colnbrook and Poyle, with a total length of 5km. At their shallowest the tunnels would be just 10m deep. No new stations would be built so the project will not benefit local residents, but it would deliver a 6 minute journey time to the airport for Slough residents. Colne Valley Park
The Colne Valley Park covers over 40 square miles and is the first real taste of countryside to the west of London. The Valley hosts a mosaic of farmland, woodland and water with 200 miles of river and canal and over 60 lakes. It is also a living, working environment, providing employment and homes for many people as well as being a haven for wildlife. It is 50 years old this year! see Projects to find out how we are celebrating.

Fly Infestation 2016 - Small Black slow and annoying! NOW IN THE NEWS
The Richings Park area has experienced a problem with small flies with the source being the Iver Sludge Treatment Works located over the M4 down Old Slade Lane. To date, Environmental Health Officers of both South Bucks District Council and Slough Borough Council have been monitoring the effects of the control efforts (chemical control) by Thames Water. To this end, they have asked if we could submit regular updates on infestations to assist them in this task. The Residents Association have taken on the task of collecting and collating these fly activity reports.

Relief Road - Residents we seriously need your help!
For many years now there has been talk/promise of a Relief road, to take the HGV, Industrial traffic away from Richings Park & Iver Village. So far it has all been 'hot air' and you cannot be blamed for losing faith and thinking it just is not going to happen! Well it may be about to change but we need your help to achieve what many think is impossible. Please make sure you check in with the forum and keep your eye on developments. Meanwhile read the threads and see the story so far.

Calor Gas Planning application Cape Boards Site
Calor Gas have been given an approval to use the former Cape Boards site as a depot. They were granted restricted hours of operation and a restricted number of HGV movements. They are now contesting this saying it is unworkable. ALL OF THEIR VEHICLES OVER 7.5 TONNES WILL BE COMING OUR WAY! It is therefore imperitive that we object to their request for a variation.
